Commercial Furniture Design

Alongside the work we do with private clients we work in close collaboration with Interior designers, architects, property developers and main contractors whom value our design and manufacturing expertise along with our flexible, reliable ‘can do’ approach to their projects and of course ultimately the quality of our work.

Our expertise in commercial furniture design is wide and we can offer our clients a turnkey service incorporating interpreting and developing clients' designs for production, providing fully resolved production drawings, samples, site survey, manufacture and delivery and installation.

Clients value our expertise in technical and construction issues and our knowledge and experience of working with a broad range of materials and finishes.

We are often told that we are easy to work with - building long term relationships with our clients is very important to us.

How we can help with your project

We are as transparent as possible when we provide quotes. We understand that at the early stages of projects there are many unknowns and TBC’s and we make these clear in our costing. If a material, finish or detail is not decided on we will make an assumption or offer alternatives to give cost variations.

We will state clearly what will be free issue and what we have or have not included.

Depending on the scope of works are quotes will typically include:

  • Site Survey
  • Design / Design development
  • Fully resolved production drawings
  • Sampling
  • Manufacture
  • Project management
  • Delivery and installation.
Design & Drawing

Design & Drawing

Our designers and draughtsman are experts at interpreting and developing our client’s concept designs for manufacture.

Sometimes we are given a comprehensive drawing package, sometimes preliminary design proposals in the form of sketches or renderings and sometimes clients will approach us with a very loose design brief and ask us to undertake the conceptual design work – we will work in whichever way suits the client best.

We resolve constructional issues and liaise with all other involved parties including lighting designers, M&E consultants, AV designers, builders, and electricians to make sure everything is resolved and considered.

We present CAD drawings for client approval and If required can produce 3D drawings and renders to demonstrate more clearly what is being proposed.

Project Management

Project Management

We understand the complexities of the projects we work on and the importance of close management and communication. We work closely with main contractors, M&E consultants and all other relevant trades and people involved in the project to ensure jobs run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

The furniture we make is of the very highest standard. Attention to detail in making and finishing is everything. We are often faced with challenging designs that require a great deal of technical resolving to make them work, we pride ourselves on our ability to problem solve and deliver our clients designs.

Site access, materials and finishes all influence our approach to the way we make something in the workshop. To minimise the time we need to spend fitting on site so put a lot of time and resources into putting the furniture and joinery we make together in its entirety in the workshop so we know everything works and will go together smoothly on site.

Our fitters are highly skilled and meticulous. They understand that no matter how well something has been made and finished in the workshop poor fitting can undo all the good work that has gone before.

They are highly experienced problem solvers and used to working alongside other site trades to ensure the furniture and joinery they are fitting goes in perfectly.

Where appropriate all work is wrapped and protected upon completion of fitting.
